David Beckham was pictured not wearing his seatbelt as he headed out on an outing with his daughter Harper, eight, at the weekend.

The former footballer hopped in his classic green Land Rover to pick up treats from a local deli near his Cotswolds home, where he is currently in lockdown with wife Victoria and three of their four children.

But as he drove away from upmarket shop Mr Bumbles in the village of Burford, Oxon, David forgot to put on his seatbelt.

Buckle up! David Beckham was pictured not wearing his seatbelt as he headed out on an outing with his daughter Harper, eight, at the weekend

David and Harper travelled 16 miles from their luxury Cotwolds home to pick up supplies from Mr Bumbles on Sunday.

The star drove his hard-to-miss factory restored Series 1 Land Rover, said to have cost him £80,000.

While Harper buckled herself into the passenger seat after the trip to the shops, David failed to put on his seatbelt as he drove away.

The father of four has only recently returned to the road after receiving a six-month driving ban a year ago for using his mobile phone at the wheel of his £100k Bentley.

At a court hearing last May David was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay a £750 fine after admitting using his phone while driving in slow moving traffic in London in November 2018.

Beckham previously avoided a speeding prosecution for driving a loaned Bentley at 59mph in a 40mph zone in west London two months before the November 2018 incident.

Celebrity lawyer Nick Freeman argued a notice of intended prosecution (NIP) was not received until one day after the statutory 14-day limit. The technicality meant he did not face any further action.

David has been spotted driving his Land Rover around the country lanes near the Beckham family’s Chipping Norton home during lockdown, with a source telling The Sun that he regularly heads to Mr Bumbles deli.

‘David has visited Mrs Bumbles at least three times in the last three weeks, he really likes the produce and always spends a lot of money,’ the insider claimed.

‘He looked very happy and relaxed with his little girl – so much so that he forgot to buckle up.’

A representative for David declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.

The Beckham family have already attracted controversy during the coronavirus pandemic.

Last month, Victoria was met with public backlash following her decision to furlough her staff, which she has since reversed.

The former Spice Girl, whose family is worth £335million, had planned to use the Government’s Covid-19 scheme to pay 80 per cent of the wages of some of her staff.

The fashion brand, which employs 120 people, sent letters to 30 members of staff warning them that they were going to be furloughed under the Government’s scheme for two months.

She told The Guardian: ‘We will not now be drawing on the government furlough scheme.

‘At the beginning of the lockdown the shareholders agreed with senior management to furlough a small proportion of staff.

‘At that point we didn’t know how long the lockdown might last or its likely impact on the business. The welfare of my team and our business means everything to me.’
