Tyson Fury claims he’s agreed to an exhibition fight with boxing legend Mike Tyson. The 53-year-old is keen on a comeback to the sport and has been looking for an opponent – and now Fury claims he’s agreed to take him on.
“I did get a phone call with a chance to fight Mike Tyson. I was like ‘what?’,” Fury told BT Sport.
“Yeah, I had a phone call saying ‘would you like to fight Mike Tyson in an exhibition fight?’ I was like ‘hell yeah!’”
Fury, who is waiting on a new date for his third showdown with Deontay Wilder, isn’t sure anything will come of it, but he’s ready to go if it does.
Tyson meanwhile has been linked with a rematch against Evander Holyfield, who he fought twice during the 90s.
“But I don’t think anything’s materialised out of it to be honest,” he added.
“So yeah I think he’s [Mike Tyson] definitely serious about doing some fights or whatever, but he’s fought Holyfield twice so they’re both old now, so I think they’re a bit long in the teeth.

“But who am I to say anything, what anybody’s capable of? I wouldn’t try and kill anybody’s dreams.
“If they’re both fit to fight, medically fit, then let them do what they want to do. It’s their life not mine.”
Tyson is eyeing a sensational comeback to the sport after last entering the ring in 2005, when he lost to Kevin McBride.
His record stands at 50 wins and 6 losses with two no contests from his 58 pro fights.
And he claims he’s got a lot of options to pick from for his comeback showdown.
“Listen we’ve got so many guys that want to do this man,” he said. “We’re in calls, we’re doing business with guys right now.
“You’re not going to believe the names when the names come out. Sometime this week we’ll have the contract done.
“And whatever money we get, it’s going to somebody else.
“I’m not going to make any money, probably the company, my wife because she’s partners with me, she’ll make some probably. But my money is going.”

Tyson is one of the most explosive fighters in the sport’s history, but it remains to be seen if he can fight to an standard at the age of 53.
He has been a regular in films during his retirement, but has recently shed an incredible amount of weight and wants another shot at the glory.
Fury meanwhile is hoping to get his hands on Anthony Joshua eventually, but must first beat Wilder in a third match up after his convincing win in February.
Fury’s promoter Frank Warren though cast doubt on a British super show recently.
“My concern, first and foremost, although they talk about it a lot, Matchroom,” he said on talkSPORT.
“I don’t think they want the fight, I don’t think they want to put AJ in with Tyson, I really don’t think so.
“I hear all the noises. But actions speak louder than words and at the moment it seems to me, and I’m not normally wrong on things like this.
“I’ve got a gut feeling they don’t want it and I think that’s for a reason.”
