A group of what the Edinburgh Evening News describes as “Scottish nationalists” has actually attempted to tell the English they’re not invite in Scotland at the minute, as stress over the differing handling of coronavirus limitations north and south of the border spill over into the real world.
It was a bit of a grim old affair by the sound of it, as cars and trucks near the border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed were spotted parked up and covered in Scottish flags, with videos appearing online of chuckling protesters warning the English to “remain the fuck out” while wearing hazmat fits to aesthetically explain the reason. Or a minimum of, the current reason.
The paper states eyewitnesses reported protesters “reading out number plates on live streams” to embarassment chauffeurs in some way too, although what excellent that’ll do we’re uncertain. The anti-tourist feelings seem nationwide at the minute within rural communities, mind, with comparable, albeit less organised scenes identified on the Cornish border too.
