Jurell Carter has certainly made an impression on Emmerdale as Nate Robinson after joining the soap back in April 2019.
The hunky 25 year old landed with a bang when he had a kiss with Rhona at a nightclub, before swiftly moving on to seduce Amy Wyatt and Tracey Metcalfe – who is now pregnant with his child.
Although his identity remained a mystery when Nate arrived in the Dales, it wasn’t long before the village discovered he was Cain’s secret love child.
To get back at his dad, who he believed abandoned him, he went on to have a steamy affair with Moira Dingle and now the lothario’s naughty ways have been uncovered by Cain…

Who plays Emmerdale’s Nate Robinson?
Jurell Carter announced he would be joining Emmerdale as Nate Robinson in 2019, when he shared the news on his Instagram page.
“I’m a series regular in @Emmerdale and I’ll be playing Nate Robinson. So glad we can finally announce this.
“We had to keep quiet for what felt like the longest. Cliche as it is, I really can’t put into words how much this means. Feel truly blessed and grateful for it and for everyone that’s truly supported me and help make it happen. From my beautiful family, beautiful agent and everyone at Emmerdale.”
One of Jurrell’s first storylines as Nate was to roll around the hay with his co-star Natalie J Robb as they filmed sex scenes for their character’s steamy affair.
He told the Mirror about being thrown in at the deep end straight away: “The sex scenes have been a bit overwhelming really. I did a student film and I had one scene which was just a little peck, so it was a big contrast to what I was doing here. But I had to just kind of embrace it and go with it.”
To get into shape for his topless scenes the actor, who studied at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, said he lost a stone and a half.
“I wanted to look good and feel good. I think everyone has a perfect idea of how they would like their body to be. So when I first got the role I did cut down on my weight and I lost a stone and a half. I put it back on over Christmas! I was about 16 stone and went back to 14.5 stone.
“It wasn’t a crash diet. I just cut back a bit to make me feel better. I wanted to feel lean and light for me. I wanted to do it for myself. When you feel pressure it is unhealthy.”
What did Jurell Carter do before acting?
Jurell revealed earlier this year that at 18 he missed out on an opportunity to become a professional football player.
As a teen the talented football player had dreams of playing for Birmingham City and even landed a partial scholarship to play football in America.
But unfortunately his family were unable to fund the cost of the remaining fees as it was so expensive and he was forced to pursue other dreams.
He told the Mirror: “It was heartbreaking. I had loved football from the age of three. When I got offered the scholarship to the University of South Carolina Aiken it was amazing but I couldn’t find the funds to pay for the rest of it so I couldn’t go.
“I was so devastated. It was something I loved so passionately, for it then not to go through… it was heartbreaking.”
What else has Jurell Carter appeared in?
But despite not being able to pursue his first dream of football, Jurell decided to follow his passion for another profession, acting.
He said he had always loved it and after securing a loan to attend LIPA in Liverpool, Jurell soon found success.
Before landing his first regular role on Emmerdale, theatre actor Jurell had already appeared in daytime soap Doctors, Channel 4 programme Home, and a breakout role in crime drama Kiri.
Since joining Emmerdale, Jurell was nominated for an award as Best Newcomer at the National Television Awards, narrowly missing out to Coronation Street’s Peter Ash.
