The 38- year-old actor played Christian Grey in the ‘Fifty Tones’ film adaptations of E.L James’ books, but admitted that he was pleased to bid franchise farewell as he does not want to depict the same person regularly.

Jamie stated: “I was all set to proceed from this crazy chapter in my life. No matter who I was playing, I do not think I ‘d want to play a character for several, numerous movies. I think I ‘d just get truly tired of that.”

The star understands that the ‘Fifty Tones’ movie adjustments, in which he starred along with Dakota Johnson, weren’t to everybody’s tastes.

Jamie said: “I wish to attempt to do as much excellent work as I can, diverse and fascinating work.

” The thing that I’m probably most well-known for is a monsterly effective franchise that was not critically liked. It’s an unusual thing going into those films understanding that you’re going to be in a franchise that will most likely make so much cash and get negatively reviewed, because those books made a lot cash and were really adversely examined.”

Jamie’s most current motion picture is the drama ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’, which he stars in alongside Emily Blunt as Anthony Reilly– an Irishman who lives on a farm in the English countryside– and he enjoyed taking advantage of the “oddness” of his character.

He told Range: “Let’s be sincere: Anthony is probably on the spectrum in some way.

” He is unlike anybody I have actually ever played, but he has insecurities and an oddness and peculiarities with him that I felt I certainly possessed myself. I loved the opportunity to show that off and actually heighten and explore and exploit my own weirdness, which I have plenty.”
