Guinness is recalling cans of its just recently introduced non-alcoholic stout in the middle of security issues over microbiological contamination.
The recall, which the brewer referred to as precautionary, impacts the Terrific Britain market, as the item was not yet on sale in Ireland.
Guinness 0.0 was released last month in the middle of much excitement after a four-year development process.
In a statement, Guinness stated: “As a precautionary procedure we are remembering Guinness 0.0 in Fantastic Britain because of a microbiological contamination which might make some cans of Guinness 0.0 risky to take in.
” Guinness 0.0 presently is not on sale to the general public in Ireland. The problem is separated to Guinness 0.0 and does not affect any other Guinness versions or brands.”
The company prompted anybody with cans of Guinness 0.0 not to drink it.
The product was developed in reaction to what Guinness stated was growing consumer appetite for non-alcohol, lower-calorie drinks.
