Lacey: We didn’t mind in any case however it was charming to know we have among each. I never ever believed we would have a young boy– I was rather stunned. There are a lot of ladies in my household and my mum had 3 ladies. It’s good for Matt to have a boy and it’s been quite various to having a girl.
Matt: It was fantastic. It would have been nice for Dusty to have a little sis however for me it was an outcome to have a young boy.
What’s been the greatest distinction?
Matt: The nappies [laughs]!
Lacey: We get weed on quite a lot, which certainly does not occur with a woman!

That must have been hard …
Lacey: You have to believe about everybody’s health but it was so hard.
How did you decide on the name Trilby?
Lacey: I understood a girl as soon as and her sibling was called Trilby Fox and I always believed it was such a cool name, and I quite liked it for a young boy, so I have actually had it in my head for a truly long time!

When you got pregnant with Trilby you called him a “wonder” after formerly having two miscarriages, Lacey. How did it feel when you got to hold him?
Lacey: It was remarkable. We’re so fortunate to have gone on our journey and to come out the other end with 2 healthy babies, and particularly to have among each. We feel actually grateful. He was so tiny and because he was early it makes him that bit more special. There are individuals who go through a comparable sort of thing and sadly do not bring out that happy ending, so we know we’re blessed.
Have you been breast-feeding?
Lacey: No. I was 50/50 about doing it. I found it really tough last time and Dusty discovered it stressful however I kept an open mind. Then when he had to be in unique care, I thought, “Rather of attempting my hardest to pump and get everything going, let’s simply keep it as simple as possible for everyone and keep him fed.” He has his last feed at 11 pm and then he wakes up around 3am, and then he’s not up again up until 7am!
